Not necessarily. It’s a good idea to be up-to-date on your routine vaccinations (MMR, Tetanus, Chicken Pox). Vaccines like Hepatitis A and Typhoid are possible additional vaccinations, left to each travelers’ discretion.

The trip is around eighteen hours flying time (less on the way back because of the jet-stream). This time does not account for time spent in the airport waiting for a connecting flight.

There’s no getting around the fact that it is a long flight to reach Bali. After all, it is on the other side of the world, a fact that accounts for a great part of it’s charm. Think of the flight there as an opportunity to read that novel you’ve been wanting to get to. Write in your journal, listen to some music, watch a few movies, and before you know it, you’ll have arrived at a destination well worth the small discomfort of a long plane ride.
Can I drink the tap water in Bali?
No. It is advised you do not drink water from the faucet. Bottled water is cheap, plentiful, and recommended for drinking and brushing your teeth.

No. You will be able to purchase a visa on arrival at Bali Nigura Rai airport in Denpasar.
Do I need a passport?
Yes, you need a valid passport to enter Indonesia. Additionally, your passport must not expire in less than six months from the time of your arrival in Bali.
